Verging II: The Subject Feels the Rain

When I looked up, all I saw were clumps of cloud
They were in two shades only, light gray and dark
The sun was nowhere to be seen
It was a dim afternoon

People next to me unfolded their umbrellas and raised them high
It's as if they're challenging the sky
God is coming, I thought
He's coming in cold drops

The sky soon poured
And the road was drenched
God touched me
and touched me
and touched me
And soaked me all over

I was shivering as I walked
The cold went straight to my bones
